Proof66 Notes

KCCD (Kootenay Country Craft Distillery) vodka is made from a base of 100% wheat grown by TreasureLife Farms—a specialty kind of wheat grain made from "antique varietals from the University of Alberta." The particular grain for the vodka is Marquis wheat, which they claims makes for a slightly sweet taste to their vodka but also uses a blend of barley grain as well. It's then blended down with water from the Selkirk Mountains, bringing with it a mineral note to the body of the vodka. The name of the vodka comes from the Valhalla Provincial Park, though of course hearkens to the warrior paradise of the mythological Norse vikings, emphasized by the mounted Valkyrie wielding spear and bottle on the label.
