Proof66 Notes

The Connemara whiskies have their malt dried over a peat fire, yielding special aroma and flavor (perhaps more often associated with scotch than Irish whiskey). Their whiskey is a "tribute to the region" where peat is still used as a fuel source. Cooley claims the Connemara Cask Strength to be the only Irish whiskey presented at natural strength and is "surprisingly smooth" at ~120pf.

First Connemara I've tried.  Powerful proof.  Smooth.  After drinking neat added a dash of water.

Bit too much alcohol to taste everything here. It's great whisky like other Connemaras, but too powerful to my taste.
