Proof66 Notes

The Dalmore Alexander III single malt scotch is made to commemorate the preservation of King Alexander III in the 13th century by ancestors of the distillery's founders. It has been aged in a stunning combination of French wine "barriques," madeira drums, Jerez sherry, Sicilian marasala barrels, Douro port, and Kentucky bourbon barrels.

The distillery itself was founded in 1839 by Alexander Matheson.

4.55/5, a elevated version of the 18 in all it's wine influenced glory. Nose is even fuller & richer than 18 & mouth is has a slightly sweeter & orange middle with an added dimension to 18. It's smooth and very easy going (blend lovers & light scotch lovers will like). It's got mass appeal and would be a great gift because it is a great scotch. Best wine influenced scotch I've had to date
