Proof66 Notes

Dry Fly Washington Bourbon 101 is bottled at a relatively high proof of 101 (a credit to the distillery as more whiskey could be sold if they blended it back to 80 proof). As a bourbon, it must be made primarily of corn in the grain bill but, given the distillery's reputation for specializing in Washington wheat, we expect this is a "wheated bourbon" (that is, a large proportion of wheat in the grain bill), which generally would mean a sweeter and smoother flavor profile.

According to the Tasting Panel Magazine (September, 2011), the initial release was sold out within 2 hours and generated lines of 180 people in the distillery.
