Proof66 Notes

Glenglassaugh Torfa Richly Peated scotch is a heavy, smoky scotch indicated by both the term "richly peated" but also "torfa," which is Norse for "peat." The distillery uses "peat-infused" kilns, which doesn't sound quite the same as "peat burning" kilns (which would be ultra-traditional) but still a very traditional and time-honored method of drying malted barley. They do not mention an age statement. it is bottled at a significant 100 proof (compare with most single malts at 86).
