Proof66 Notes

The Isle of Jura 16yr single malt spends is said to be the preferred expression by the locals. This gives rise to the label "Diurachs' Own" since it is their "own" whisky.

The Isle of Jura Superstition single malt is meant to honor the superstitious traditions of the island life. The scotch is a blend of older and younger whiskies in a "tribute to the people, the traditions and the mystical heritage" of the island.

Really reminds me of a slightly stronger version of the Speyburn 10 year or the Glenrothes Select Reserve. I like it just as much as those two malts but the price of this one is significantly higher. Less smoke than the Superstition so the oak and spice is more pronounced. Same subtle sweetness though. Overall not bad, just a little overpriced for what you get.
