Ripe pears/strawberries on the nose. A tiny bit rough around the edges. Fruity on the palate with a long, earthy finish which is a very interesting and tasty paradox. The box talks about their "dark, dank cellars" which are below sea level. You can taste that dank in the finish, but it's a good thing. Not as smooth as, say, Redbreast (but what is?) but an interesting divergence from the typical silky Irish.
