Tomatin's Dualchas Single Malt scotch is considered to be a lighter styled scotch (at least for the highlands) and aged in virgin oak, meaning barrels that haven't been used in other spirits prior to the introduction of the scotch (versus the majority of scotch that uses ex-bourbon or ex-sherry casks).

Tomatin Distillery is located on the eastern edge of the Monadh Liath Mountains and widely acknowledged to have illicit stills are part of its history reaching back to the 15th Century when.
