Proof66 Notes

Tomintoul Tlath Single Malt scotch was released in 2016, part of the new trend of exchanging age statements for interesting Gaelic words. Tlath, pronounced "tlah," translates as gentle, according to the press release, and goes well with the rather light bottling proof of 80 (relative to many single malts at 86). It is aged in American oak ex-bourbon barrels and designed to be soft and approachable and an "entry point" into the Tomintoul range.
