really good - for the price ... great mixed with lemonade or cola ... not terrible, sipped, neat, either but just not as bodacious and complex as higher-end ryes ... it does have a bit too much woody-ness . a good starter-rye .

Not my favorite rye. Great color & nose. But the taste ends rather wood-y... like licking a piece of wood. A bit harsh in my opinion. If you're looking for a mixer, this will do fine (because its a great price point), but if you're drinking it straight go w/ something like Buillett.
